My name is Debra Jennings, and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) offering Therapeutic Massage and Integrated Bodywork in the Town of Bedford, Virginia. With over three decades of experience in healthcare, I bring a clinically informed, holistic approach to supporting health, recovery, and overall well-being.
My career in healthcare began early. While still in high school, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant, driven by a lifelong instinct to care for others—both people and animals. This foundation shaped a professional path centered on service, responsibility, and compassionate care.
After high school, I pursued my passion for horses at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre, earning a Riding Masters III certification. I worked on breeding farms, starting young horses, and freelanced in riding instruction and training. This experience deepened my understanding of biomechanics, movement, and the physical demands placed on the body—knowledge that continues to inform my bodywork practice today.
My calling to healthcare ultimately led me back to clinical practice. I earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and have been licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2003. My nursing background includes work in neuro-trauma care, ICU, private duty nursing, as well as Hospice and Home Health.
Throughout my nursing career, I have consistently witnessed the body’s remarkable capacity for healing when properly supported. This insight inspired me to expand beyond conventional medical care and explore integrative and complementary healing modalities.
To better understand the mind-body connection and the body’s energetic systems, I pursued advanced training and certification in multiple holistic disciplines, including:
Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki Master
Registered Holy Fire® II Karuna Reiki® Master
Chikara-Reiki-Do Master
In addition, I completed three years of intensive training in Acupressure Mastery, Meridian Therapy, Qi Gong, and Five-Element Theory under renowned acupressurist Dr. Michael Reed-Gach. These modalities form the foundation of my integrated bodywork approach, allowing sessions to be customized to each client’s unique needs.
In 2019, I completed a state-approved Massage Therapy program through Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (now Mountain Gateway Community College) and became licensed to practice Massage Therapy in Virginia. My work blends therapeutic massage techniques with integrative bodywork to support pain management, stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and overall physical balance.
I am committed to ongoing education and continually expanding my skill set to better serve my clients on their path toward health and wellness.
